The Miami County Museum invites you to attend the 100 Years of History: The Miami County Museum Centennial exhibit opening on Saturday, April 30, 2016 from 12:00 PM to 3:00 PM. This exhibit will be featured on the third floor of the Miami County Museum. In 1916, Miami County native and Circuit Judge Hal C. Phelps created a pioneer display for the Indiana State Centennial that drew attention from onlookers far and wide. Capitalizing on the popularity of the display, the Miami County Historical Society was born, using the fourth floor of the County Courthouse as the site of its first county museum. The 100 Years of History: The Miami County Museum Centennial exhibit celebrates the fascinating origin of the Miami County Historical Society and Museum, as well as the lives of those who shaped its development through the years.
